When it comes search engines, google is still the king, and they are doing everything they can to maintain their lead,   in the hope of offering it’s search users better results, google engineers published blog post which indicated there were 11.8% organic search results will be affected, say it another way, there are about 12% of google search results are considered low quality by google itself. They planned and started the update about one year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, and a few of them even gained a few positions, it’s obvious that linking campaign the old way is the thing of past, probably due to link spamming sites being de-indexed by google.

So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, almost all of them are garbage, the name link spamming are just for these sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.  

Maybe a few examples will make it clear. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I needed to rank the keyword, Tow Strap, at that time almost every body was doing plain linking campaign, almost all the sites I got link from had too many links, and the worst thing is that those sites are linking sites only and had no content, not even crap content. In the beginning, the ranking of the keyword in question rise pretty fast, eventually the keyword could be found on first page, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain pullers, most back links for this keyword are from articles and posts, with very few plain links, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? Actually this is all about content, so if you create great content, not only people will love to read your stuff, so do the search engines. It’s never too late to build good blogs for business purpose, such as this interesting blog, top smartphone 2011 , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, I guess you believe this site won’t be doing too well, in actuality my site is ranking high for some nice search phrases. As far as SEO concerned, article marketing with great content is the way to go. Say you’re building your own bogging network, for instance trailer winch, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

Bottom line is that you should create great content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, in the mean time advertise your business with your content, your effort will reward you handsomely in the end. Persistence and patience are the keys to success, nothing will automatically improve overnight, i.e., selling online or improve your search rankings, keep doing what we have to do till the end of world. When publisinh articles, I prefer ezine, google will index a new article on ezine promptly, of course your posts on some blogs will be indexed real fast as well, here I am going to show you an article in article directory or on a blog, have a taste of this one, coil chains, nice writing, good content, published on popular site, this article serves it’s purpose well.

Last but not least, we have hot social media now, no one can afford to not using them. For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, then go ahead register a new twitter account and app, configure your twitter tools prpperly, you should choose to post a tweet for every new post, it’s simple and elegant, no one should miss this tool out.
